Dr. Satish Deshpande, Ph.D.
Dr. Deshpande has over eighteen experience in the development and application of spectroscopic techniques aimed at whole cell characterization to solve complex problems in biology and medicine. Satish has also conducted extensive work in environmental monitoring, including air quality and water safety. Highly respected in his field, he has published over thirty journal articles and abstracts. Satish holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Guelph.

Bruce Carrick, B.Sc., MBA
As SpectraDigital's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Carrick is responsible for driving SDC's business strategy. Previously Bruce has served as a business technologist focused on deriving solutions for clients in the pharmaceutical, insurance, agricultural and IT Sectors. Bruce has held management and executive positions at market research firm Ipsos Reid, and Chicago-based software developer CCC Information Services. He has also worked at the Canadian Industrial Innovation Center, a think-tank for inventors and entrepreneurs. Bruce has an MBA from McMaster University and a B.Sc. from the University of Guelph, with a specialization in Biology and Biochemistry.

Jim Estill, P.Eng.
Mr. Estill is CEO of SYNNEX Canada, which acquired EMJ Data Systems in 2004, the company he founded. In 2002 EMJ was ranked as one of Canada's Top 50 best-managed companies by Report on Business Magazine. Jim is also the lead partner of Mentor's Group, which provides consulting services to start-up businesses, including SpectraDigital. Jim sits on the board of a variety of companies including Research in Motion. Jim is a graduate of the University of Waterloo.

Stephen Southern, B.Math, MBA
Mr. Southern has held senior roles in several technology-based start-ups. Stephen currently operates Parmasters Southern Ontario Golf Training Centers, having just completed a successful stint as Business Development Manager at recently-acquired SlipStream Data. Stephen also facilitates a network of early-stage technology investors known as The Archangel Network. Stephen's background spans technology development, commercialization, operations, marketing and sales. Stephen holds degrees from the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.
